From networking to experiences with friends, Matt Regnier found exactly what he was looking for at MPI’s 2024 European Meetings & Events Conference (EMEC) in Luxembourg.

“One special highlight was the opportunity to meet my clients in Luxembourg,” says Regnier, production director for Pleni The International and a member of the MPI France-Switzerland Chapter. “The program allowed me to also schedule a business client meeting, which was really convenient.”
MPI’s signature annual European community event, EMEC—held March 3-5—concluded on a high note, showcasing a remarkable achievement in attendee satisfaction and engagement. With an impressive net promoter score (NPS) of 45 and a 94% overall satisfaction rate, EMEC has once again proven its standing as a premier event in the European meeting and event industry.

Savéria Eyer, back office manager for Business Events Luxembourg - Luxembourg Convention Bureau and a member of the EMEC host committee, says Luxembourg was honored to be the host destination.
“The event achieved remarkable success, attributed to the engaging content featured in all sessions, expertly moderated by top-tier speakers, and the active participation of a dynamic audience of event professionals,” says Eyer, a member of the MPI Belgium Luxembourg Chapter. “It was inspiring to welcome attendees from across Europe and the U.S. for this occasion. We take immense pride in our collaboration with our esteemed partners, whose expertise and dedication also contributed to the success of EMEC 2024. Most gratifying is the discernible impact EMEC had on promoting and elevating the visibility of Luxembourg as a top destination for hosting business events. We received positive feedback onsite, and the event garnered considerable impressions on social media, further amplifying our reach and influence.”

EMEC was characterized by innovative learning journeys, engaging general sessions and effective networking opportunities. Highlights included the highly acclaimed hosted buyer program and musical emcees from SongDivision, and Jan Buteijn, a professional photographer and member of the MPI Netherlands Chapter, took amazing photos throughout our time in Luxembourg (featured in this article).
"We are thrilled with the success of EMEC Luxembourg and the positive feedback from our community,” says Paul Van Deventer, MPI president and CEO. “The results reflect our commitment to providing a strong experience to our global community while utilizing the local culture as a backdrop to deliver unique, memorable and actionable education and networking experiences. We are grateful for the enthusiasm and participation of our sponsors, volunteers and Luxembourg leadership, all of which were instrumental in achieving these outstanding outcomes.”
