CMP Certification

Achieving the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) status designates candidates have demonstrated they have mastered the body of knowledge of the meetings industry. The CMP program is administered by the Events Industry Council, which is supported by 31 meeting and hospitality industry organizations. (See www.eventscouncil.org for the full listing).

Why become a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)?

The CMP designation represents the standard of excellence in today's meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry.  To that end, the CMP designation says a lot to your clients. It reflects a commitment to excellence and demonstrates the CMP designate as someone who is a well-informed partner and resource in the meeting planning process.   Over 14,000 individuals in 51 countries and territories have earned the CMP designation since its inception.

The Greater Orlando MPI Chapter CMP Study Group Provides:

• An in person forum for study of the EIC Functions that form the basis for the CMP exam.

• An experiential environment to learn best practices.

• A focus on the field of knowledge that is the basis of the EIC's CMP exam
