Member Spotlight Patricia Valerio

I joined MPI because I looked up to the people in MPI. I, in turn, love being able to bring new people to MPI functions to experience the organization.

How did you get your start in the industry?

My education is actually in environmental science, and my previous work was in logistics, but I consistently found myself in a role where I gravitated toward putting on company events. I am very lucky that one day this stood out to the right recruiter, I got my foot in the door, and was mentored by some strong players in the industry.

What is the best career advice you've received?

"If you don't ask, you don't receive." - I'm happy to say I have had a lot of doors open for me simply by putting myself out there.
