Occupation: Director, National Accounts

Planner or Supplier: Supplier

Why did you join MPI and what do you love most about your experience with the organization?

I have been an on-and-off member of MPI throughout my career in hospitality, across a variety of roles.

Staying connected with my local community of planners and suppliers has always been important to me because this industry is built on relationships. That’s what I love most about my experience with MPI; the opportunity to build new connections, strengthen existing ones, and maintain relationships that continue to grow over time. Those connections have been invaluable both personally and professionally.

How did you get your start in the industry?

I was hired right out of college as a sales admin at the InterContinental The Barclay New York.

What is the best career advice you've received?

I have received a lot of advice and insight. The one thing I believe to be crucial is always keep learning &

growing.

What is the most memorable event you have planned or client experience you have had?

One of the most memorable client experiences I had was attending an IHG event overseas in Europe and learning about my attendance approximately 24 hours in advance. Being young with the ability to be flexible with my schedule allowed me to experience something so unique while seeing new parts of the world.

Do you have a favorite MPI event and if so, why?

One of my favorite MPI events is the annual Golf event. It always brings together familiar faces, with the
opportunity to meet new ones. Everyone looks forward to a day away from their desk to network, discuss

business opportunities, and create memories. Bonus if the weather cooperates!

What is your favorite city to travel to and why?

I am not sure I have one favorite city because I love various cities for various reasons. However, I will say I have been to Florence, Italy a couple of times and that definitely makes it to the top of the list. The fashion, the food, the people...all are exquisite!

What is your favorite book?

Tough one again. I love Colleen Hoover for fiction, but also love plenty of personal development books by John Maxwell and others.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 items would you bring with you?

Coffee, A great playlist with a solar-powered speaker. A journal to document the adventure

If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose and why?

Tough question. Lots of options. Perhaps, Harriet Tubman. Her extraordinary courage, leadership, and selflessness are deeply inspiring. I'd want to hear firsthand about her perseverance and unwavering commitment to helping others.

If you could live anywhere on this planet and take everything that you love with you, where would you choose to live?

Somewhere with little to no humidity, The ability for lots of time outdoors and where people are genuinely friendly & neighborly.

Who would you like to be for a day?

An Olympic athlete. I'd love to experience the focus, discipline, and excitement of competing at the highest level after years of training.

What three words describe you best?

Collaborative, compassionate, resilient

What is your all-time favorite movie?

Goonies. Sorry, 80s fan here!!

Describe your perfect day off?
Coffee. Good, healthy food. Time at the beach under an umbrella with SPF. Friends and family alongside me. Good tunes. Peacefulness.
