Member Spotlight Tonia Meluso

I used to be an active member of my former local MPI chapter, so joining was a no-brainer when I moved 2 years ago! I love the ability to professionally network and make connections both professionally and personally! 

How did you get your start in the industry?

I began my events career working in private special events at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis. In college, I spent a lot of time in the Entertainment Management program volunteering at various events and even working the Super Bowl in Miami in 2020.

What is the best career advice you've received?

Be a sponge! Learn from everyone and take pieces from people around you to apply to how you operate. 

What is the most memorable event you have planned or client experience you have had?

I was able to work with New Jersey nurses and planned our annual Nurses Night with the Devils this past season. We welcomed hundreds of healthcare professionals to the game, gave out custom items, and had in-game acknowledgements as well as photos on the ice post-game. It was awesome to give these real-life superheroes a night off to enjoy time together!
