The afternoon program will run from 2:00 p.m. through to 5:30 p.m., featuring a lively Idea's Hackathon education session followed by the Copper Skillet Global Chefs Cook Off experience.
A hackathon is an event where people come together to solve problems. Join our emcee and innovation expert, Dr Amy Climer Ph.D, CSP, for a fast-paced mini hackathon and put your creativity to work.
You will learn and use a research-based process called Creative Problem Solving to focus on real challenges in the business events industry. This same process has been used by other organizations at conferences, to solve problems that have saved or made millions of dollars and impacted countless lives.
During the hackathon, you will work alongside IACC member hotel & venue operators, meeting professionals and industry partners to:
• Get creative and experience breakthrough thinking
• Reimagine the future of exceptional meetings
• Generate dozens of actionable ideas you can apply immediately.
You will leave with new tools, fresh inspiration for your events and hundreds of ideas generated throughout the room. This will be a powerful session that can elevate your events for 2026 and beyond.
Following the hackathon, you will be invited to enjoy the Copper Skillet Global Chefs Cook Off, a vibrant live culinary competition featuring outstanding food and beverage and a one-of-a-kind theatrical dining experience by IACC member chefs from the Americas, Europe and Australia.
