We are back to full steam ahead in the meetings industry, but there are new hurdles to jump this year!  Food costs, staffing, and inflation are making budgets tight, attendance numbers are difficult to anticipate, last minute bookings are flipping like hot cakes, and everyone needs to be an expert in hybrid meetings.  Luckily, our relationships between planners and suppliers are stronger than ever – so let’s work together to anticipate these challenges and find solutions.  Get ready for an interactive session that will help you make the most of 2023!

SPEAKER:

Kim Corcoran, CMP, is an experienced meeting professional that currently owns and operates Destination Michigan, where the primary focus is connecting destinations, hotels, and service providers with meeting planners. 

In 2007, Kim was instrumental in starting Meetings Michigan, a state-wide marketing initiative with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).  This organization bands together CVBs, hotels and service providers throughout the state for the common cause of bringing more out-of-state meetings revenue to Michigan.  She is still actively involved as the Executive Director, as the organization celebrates 16 years together.

Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing/International Business, a master’s degree in Sports/Recreation Administration, and a Certified Meeting Professional designation.  She is a past President of MPI, Michigan Chapter, and is currently an honorary faculty member at The MSU School of Hospitality Business.
