ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

With all of the active shooter events happening across the world, it only makes sense to be prepared. Sign up to receive training from Patrol and SWAT Deputies, who are passionate about what it takes to keep you safe!

Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.

Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, medical issues and drills.

TIME:

8:00am – 8:30am: Networking
8:30am – 11:30am: Workshop/Training
11:45am – 1:00pm: Lunch

CONTINUING EDUCATION:

This program has been approved for 3 hours of CE by the Events Industry Council under Domain C: Risk Management.*The use of the CMP Preferred Provider Pre-Check logo is not an endorsement by the Convention Industry Council of the quality of the session. This logo means that this session has met the criteria to be pre-approved for CMP certification credit.

Members (Preferred & Premier): $30
Non Members & Essential Level Members: $60
Students: $15

Meeting Attendance Policy: All Essential Level members or non-members are limited to no more than two events in one fiscal year and must pay the Essential Level/Non-member rate. MPI Preferred or Premier Level members are welcome to attend all chapter events at the Member Price.
