Diversity & Inclusion — October 2020
Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) have become buzzwords recently and with very good reason. But what does D&I really mean?
Simply put, diversity brings together differences across a spectrum of identities, perspectives and approaches while inclusion ensures everyone is able to offer their highest contribution.
It’s easy to talk about Diversity and Inclusion conceptually, what is hard is to turn that talk into action. We all have to start somewhere, with that, I wanted to share with you a couple resources that I have found helpful.
While serving on the MPI D&I Advisory Committee I had the opportunity to work alongside Zoe Moore, our committee co-chair and Inclusive Event Strategist & Consultant.

The MPI D&I Advisory Committee has also created resources for Equality & Justice which includes a variety of outlets to educate yourself and others on how you can better understand the dynamics of D&I.
Together we can foster a culture where everyone has the same opportunities, celebrating our differences and similarities, but also leveraging them.
