Fall SIPS* Dinner at AnQi Gourmet Bistro
On October 15th, MPIOC held another exciting SIPS (*Social & Informational PRO Sessions) event at the beautiful AnQi Gourmet Bistro in Costa Mesa. The event was huge success as the evening unfolded from an engaging networking cocktail hour to a more serious deep dive into the critical topic of emergency preparedness. Martin Hanneman of Astrea Risk Management led the conversation, highlighting key areas in which event planners can successfully prepare their events for natural disasters, active shooters and other unforeseen crises. Attendees departed wanting to learn more and, as this topic is so important in today’s event industry, please stay tuned for a Part 2 on this topic.

LOOKING TO EARN YOUR CMP IN 2020?
The Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) global certification is a mark of excellence in comprehensive events management, opening the door to better opportunities and a potential seat at the leadership table.  According to recent industry stats conducted by PCMA, meeting planners who hold the CMP designation earn (on average) more than $10,000 annual than their non-certified counterparts.  Join us on Thursday, January 23, 2020, for MPIOC’s CMP Study Group Orientation Meeting.
