live-for-life  Go Live

Elite Productions International (EPI)
is proud to be one of the founding partners of Live for Life and Go Live Together, Both of which were created as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Live For Life: Creates universal, scalable design systems and structures, made from readily available materials that can be easily fabricated and deployed regardless of organization or location. They can produce and rapidly deploy Temporary Hospital Structures and Patient Treatment Rooms that can be placed in a variety of venues and open spaces.

Go LIVE Together: Go LIVE Together has assembled leaders from across the diverse and vibrant live events ecosystem to drive local, state, and federal legislative actions that will not only be critical to our ability to put millions of people back to work, but also for our country’s economic recovery.

Every events industry recovery dollar will lead to incremental spending on travel, hotels, and restaurants, supporting Main Street merchants decimated by COVID-19. Live events industry legislative relief will serve as its own “stimulus package” because funds will be used to rekindle both an important economic sector and many connected companies. Our industry was producing tens of thousands of events per year before COVID-19, so the economic impact of live events cannot be overstated.

Anaheim is Stronger Together

Chef Bruno Serato, through his organization Caterina’s Club, has been feeding children since 2005. His non-profit feeds more than 5,000 underprivileged children every night through organizations like The Boys & Girls Club. With the doors of his restaurant temporarily closed, Serato and his cooks decided to mobilize their efforts and have already distributed 910 pounds of pasta meals and 3,640 pounds of uncooked pasta for children to take home to their families.

Anaheim is stronger together shows through with the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, ART (on behalf of Anaheim Transportation Network) and Visit Anaheim teaming up to deliver a bus full of surgical masks to first responders at Anaheim Fire & Rescue, where Mayor Sidhu was on site to accept the donation of 1,500 masks so that emergency crews can safely service residents in need.

With stores throughout Anaheim being inundated with worried shoppers, several families were having difficulty finding some of the essentials. The Honda Center and the Second Harvest Foodbank of Orange County stepped up to meet this need and created a drive-thru food bank, and in one day, was able to provide 4,000 bags of food to those in need. Each bag contained essentials including potatoes, apples, and non-perishables. A few days after the drive-thru, The Honda Center, the Anaheim Ducks®, and the Angels collectively donated additional supplies like non-perishable food and toilet paper.

As a community, Anaheim is banding together to help those in need. In addition to The Honda Center, Second Harvest Foodbank, the Chamber of Commerce, ART, and Visit Anaheim, the JW Marriott found a way to show Anaheim some love by lighting a heart in the windows of the hotel ― providing the City of Anaheim a simple message of love and hope that we could all use right now.  Anaheim is a family of athletes, magical characters, hospitality leaders and residents and together they continue to be here for you.

Visit Anaheim Projected to Bring $475 to Local Community

visit-anaheim-2020

Visit Anaheim is positioning for a strong rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic by partnering with the City of Anaheim as part of the Community and Economic Recovery Plan adopted by Mayor Harry Sidhu and the City Council on March 26, 2020.

Recently, they were able to reschedule two shows while also securing eight future bookings for the Anaheim Convention Center. Combined, these 10 shows represent more than $475 million in local economic impact and will generate an estimated $9.2 million in tourism occupancy tax (TOT) revenue for the city. Most importantly, with 50,000 local jobs lost during the “stay at home” orders, this business will make it possible for local hotels, restaurants, and other tourism businesses to start rehiring their workforce. With an additional 30 conventions still scheduled to meet in Anaheim this year, Visit Anaheim is currently working to retain those events which will result in an additional $4.7 million in TOT to the city, for a combined total of $13 million in TOT revenue.

“Our team continues to deliver results that will benefit the destination and local residents with future business,” said Jay Burress, president & CEO, Visit Anaheim. “With 50 to 60 new business leads per month, our team is working hard to get business on the books because we know tourism means an increase in quality jobs, revenue for small businesses and is an essential component of a strong local economy.” To learn more about Visit Anaheim’s efforts to ensure the city recovers go to visitanaheim.org/response-and-recovery.
