President's Message - December 2019

MPI Orange County and MPI San Diego Chapters once again joined forces for the one of the most dynamic events in the meetings industry: MPI South Coast EdCon!

Hosted at Viejas Casino & Resort, San Diego’s premier luxury gaming resort, the event was jam-packed with innovative Events Industry Council CMP continuing education-approved sessions, creative insights, experiential activations and quality networking. Our joint goal was to “Excite, Engage and Ignite!” and South Coast EdCon delivered!

None of this could have been accomplished without our phenomenal volunteers and sponsors that helped make this event exceptional. It takes a village and we had the best in the biz. Thank You!

We kicked off the event with a keynote by Annette Gregg, the Senior VP of Experience from MPI Global followed by wine tasting at our VIP Reception by Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the coolest-yet-hottest event, our Fire and Ice Welcome Reception. Have you sat on an ice throne lately?

The next day started with an amazing entertainment showcase including a 13-piece band, acrobatic performers, live painting and magic by our very own host and emcee, Jay Jay. The day continued with some more impressive education, motivational speakers, and a Sponsor Expo. In our CSR workshop we joined forces with International Sanctuary to fight against human trafficking, and then we reveled in a rockin’ closing session with motivational speaker and drummer Rich Redmond, who took a break touring with Jason Aldean to join us.
