MPI Ottawa's Around the World Amazing Race

Get ready to embark on the ultimate quest for glory, excitement, and recognition at the 2024 MPI Ottawa Volunteer Recognition Bash - "Around the World: MPI Ottawa's Amazing Race"! 

In recognition of Multiculturalism Month, we're thrilled to invite you to assemble a team of dynamic individuals to join us in this year’s edition of the MPI Ottawa Volunteer Recognition Bash. This is not just any competition – it's a chance to showcase your team's skills, creativity, and camaraderie as you race against the clock and fellow industry leaders.

Each Team Captain is invited to bring their company’s branding in the form of a 10 x 10 pop-up tent (TBC if it can be staked), a pull-up banner or a flag – each company will have their branding at a Challenge location for the day. 

MPI Ottawa will also provide the following opportunities to our host partners: 

• Logo recognition on our website 
• Branding opportunity at the BBQ following the race – Brand your table for your team as much as you wish (all items must be brought by host)! 
• Emcee recognition at BBQ 
• Registration list 

How to Register: 

We invite our Suppliers to HOST an 8-person team for the cost of $1250. This will cover the cost of all your Team Members to participate in the Amazing Race and have a celebratory BBQ Dinner afterwards.  

The sole criteria are that your Team MUST include 3 or 4 current MPI Ottawa Chapter Volunteers (one of the members of the Connex Team will assist you with the selection of Volunteers upon your Team Registration). 

There will be a maximum of 10 Teams so book fast! First come first served on the selection of Volunteers from the list. 

We will need the final list of your Team Members, as well as your Team Name by June 1st for the Organizers to print all the necessary items, so, go ahead and gather your most spirited peers, and simply reply to this email with your team’s name and a commitment to embark on this epic journey! We will need to ask each participant if they plan to stay for the BBQ Dinner afterwards during the Registration Process. 

Once registered, you will be assigned a colour. Once you have “hooked” your team members, get together before the event to pick a Team Name (please keep this short) and decide on a costume / coloured theme so you can stand out. 

Added Touch: We would like to invite each Supplier to provide the event with a prize for the Awards Ceremony at the Dinner. We will reach out to you at a closer date to see what you will be donating.
