The CMP Leadership Retreat: The Future of Meetings will bring CMP, CMM, and industry leaders together for an immersive 1.5‑day experience focused on innovations, strategies, and leadership skills shaping tomorrow’s events.
Hosted at the picturesque Kalahari Resorts Pocono Mountains, this retreat will blend forward‑thinking education with collaborative problem‑solving, giving participants space to explore how AI-technology, sustainability, shifting attendee expectations, and evolving business priorities are redefining the meetings landscape.
Through expert‑led sessions, interactive workshops, and facilitated peer discussions, attendees will examine emerging trends, test new planning approaches, and exchange practical insights they can apply immediately. The retreat also offers dedicated time for networking, reflection, and connection—ensuring participants leave with fresh ideas, strengthened professional relationships, and renewed confidence to lead their organizations into the future of meetings.

Applications for planners will be available in February 2026 for this immersive program. The CMP Leadership Committee will be reviewing all applications and award decisions will be made by March 10, 2026.
As a celebration of the expertise and dedication of Certified Meeting Professionals and Certified Meeting Managers, Philadelphia Area Chapter is designing this exclusive program to honor their achievements while providing fresh insights, elevated learning, and meaningful connection within the CMP community.
- Members with CMP or CMM - Complimentary registration with accepted application*
- Non-Member Planners with CMP or CMM - $180 registration with accepted application*
- MPI Philadelphia Area Chapter will offer a small number of Supporter Packages available to select business partners to support this extended and exclusive education event.
- *Please note: Application acceptance is not guaranteed. A $180 no-show charge will be assessed for confirmed participants who do not attend the program.
