MPI Philadelphia Area Chapter and the Greater Philadelphia chapter of PCMA are thrilled to co-present Philadelphia's Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Come show your support for our industry with your industry peers and fellow PCMA and MPI members; you will not want to miss this annual event.

In addition to our Philadelphia meeting, hundreds of industry events will be held across 6 continents on April 12 to recognize and promote this international day of advocacy. This year's tagline is "Real results, real impact, all around the world."

GMID is organized by Meetings Mean Business, an industry-wide coalition comprised of leaders across the meetings and events industry. MMB focuses on focuses on three themes year-round: Creating Personal Connections; Driving Positive Business Outcomes; and Building Strong Communities.

Special Instructions: GMID 2018 Philadelphia Supports Back on My Feet

GPPCMA and MPI PHL want to give back to Philadelphia; to help support the city that supports us, we will be collecting gift cards for Back on My Feet.

Back on My Feet was started in Philadelphia and they seek to revolutionize the way our society approaches homelessness. Their unique running-based model demonstrates that if you first restore confidence, strength and self-esteem, individuals are better equipped to tackle the road ahead and move toward jobs, homes and new lives. The organization uses running to build accountability and help those in homeless shelters get back on their feet. Through attending runs and accruing miles, members gain access to job and housing services.

How You can Help:
Bring a gift card for a sporting goods store (Modell’s, Dick’s, Target) or a Visa/ Mastercard Gift Card that would help cover the costs of running shoes for Back on My Feet participants!

Contact Sharon Goodspeed, Community Service Chair for GPPCMA at sgoodspeed@gpscvb.com if you have any questions.
