It is a new year for MPI THCC, and we hope you’ll join us in Making an Impact with our Diverse Voices United!

MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter has gifted me with experience, friendship and professional growth that I will be forever grateful for. I am honored to serve as your president for the 2020-2021 term. This chapter is not only an organization I hold a membership in but a family of meeting professionals I have the pleasure to work with, be a part of and get to know on a deeper level.

The 2019-2020 term came to a close at the end of June 300 members strong! At the start of the pandemic, we banded together through virtual engagement at an all-time high. We learned the true meaning of being Stronger Together. Chapter leadership began meeting every two weeks for updates and discovered unique ways to remain engaged with you when the possibility of meeting face-to-face became unclear. It is the strength of each of you that made this happen. Thank you for your support, encouragement and engagement!

As MPI THCC’s fiscal year begins, the board of directors and chapter volunteers will drive strategic virtual and in-person events for the 2020-2021 year. View the board of directors who took office on July 1 here. We strive to Make an Impact on the meetings industry, local community and each other. With our Diverse Voices United for one cause, to shape the future of meetings and events. We hope you will take on this initiative with THCC leadership by volunteering in one of many committees where you can build new skills and shape the future of our chapter events.

During the COVID pandemic, our mental wellbeing longs for the essential need to meet with others. MPI THCC members have become my virtual ‘quaranteam,’ and I hope you feel the same! Join us for our chapter-wide town hall on July 30 or participate in a virtual happy hour to stay connected with each other as we lean upon one another. We WILL meet again, and I cannot wait to see you soon!
