For the last few months, I’ve been sitting on something I’m very excited about.
The future of the MPI Academy learning experience is changing—and it’s a good change. It’s the kind of change that makes you actually want to log in. The kind that fits into your real life. The kind that feels less like “another platform” and more like a place you naturally show up.
As we get closer to rolling out the MPI Academy’s new learning platform this spring, I wanted to share why we’re doing this—and what it really means for how we learn together.
Learning is already part of your day
Think about how your day actually starts. You grab coffee. You open your laptop. You scroll a bit—news, LinkedIn, messages from colleagues. You see what people are talking about, what they’re sharing, what’s catching your attention.
You’re already learning. It just doesn’t feel like learning. That’s the gap we’re closing.
Professional learning isn’t something we want to schedule once a quarter anymore. We want it available when we’re curious, when we’re stuck or when someone we trust shares something useful. That’s the mindset behind the new MPI Academy experience.

Less ‘log in, more ‘keep it open’
Instead of thinking about the Academy as a place you go to take a course, we’re reimagining it as a hub—something you open and keep up during your day. A space where you can:
• See what your peers are talking about.
• Discover tools, templates and short videos.
• Jump into conversations that actually matter to your work.
• Follow topics you care about.
There’s a social-style feed that feels familiar, smart recommendations that surface content you didn’t even know you needed and notifications that pull you in when someone tags you or adds to a conversation you’re part of.
It’s learning that fits into your day, not something you have to make room for.
The best learning has always been each other
Here’s something we all know, even if we don’t always say it out loud: Some of the most valuable learning at MPI happens outside of formal sessions. It happens in cohorts. In mastermind groups. In chapter meetings. In those “wait, how did you handle that?” conversations that turn into real insight.
So instead of trying to force learning into a single format, we’re designing for how it actually happens. The new experience makes room for peer-to-peer learning, cohort-based programs and member-led contributions. And yes, you’ll still earn certificates and badges—but now they reflect not just what you completed, but also how you showed up and contributed.
You might be a teacher and not even know it
One of my favorite things about this shift is how it changes who gets to be a teacher. If you’ve ever created a template that saved your team hours, figured out a better way to solve a recurring problem or learned a lesson the hard way and wished someone had told you sooner, then you have something worth sharing.
The Academy is becoming a place where members can upload tools, short videos and real-world examples—things that are immediately useful and grounded in experience.
Chapters and committees can spotlight what’s working. Industry experts can build deeper programs and share in their success. And learners get content that feels—and is—practical, timely and real.
The bigger shift
At the end of the day, this isn’t just about a new platform. The bigger shift is this: The MPI Academy is moving from being a learning provider to being a learning ecosystem.
It’s more social. More human. More connected to how we actually grow in this profession. And, honestly, it feels like the right next chapter. I can’t wait to share it with you!
