Community Outreach

MPI AZ's Community Outreach Committee comes together to create projects, organize collection drives, and provide outlets for volunteerism with local charities. We will be supporting multiple charities throughout the 2020-2021 year. Be sure to follow us on social media for updates on the monthly charitable project.

Helping our communities throughout Arizona – 2020-2021

Our Community Donor List is a reference tool for local charitable organizations throughout Arizona. Please visit the charities’ websites for more information and immediate projects and/or needs. Click here to see the list.

American Heart Month

This month the Community Outreach Committee has compiled a list of places to donate blood during the month of February. With the on-going concerns of the pandemic, blood donations have decreased and donors are needed. Find a list of available blood drives in the Greater Phoenix Region here.   Many require an appointment to ensure safety and follow CDC guidelines.

Snap a selfie of yourself donating and send to Courtney.Johnson@phoenix.gov  for an end of the month montage of our community impact.

If you’re unable to donate blood at this time, you can still help by participating on February 5th for National Wear Red Day! All you have to do is wear red to show your support and raise awareness of heart disease. Tag @AZMPI on Facebook or @mpi_az on Instagram.

SHARE THE LOVE ANOTHER WAY
IF GIVING BLOOD IS NOT AN OPTION

THIS MONTH SEND GREETINGS TO A SENIOR LIVING HOME IN YOUR AREA TO CELEBRATE VALENTINES DAY.

THOUGHTFUL MESSAGES OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND KINDNESS ARE ALWAYS WELL RECEIVED.

(Suggestion: Contact the home's management team to secure approval and process. Ask if their residents will share photos of their greetings for our membership news.)
