Being involved in a committee is a great way to get to know other MPI members and get more value and R.O.I. out of your membership.
The membership committee works with the Dallas Headquarters to process applications for the local chapter and to welcome and encourage local meeting professionals to join the MPI GEC chapter. Our committee creates membership incentive programs, honours our members with awards and service pins, and implements an Ambassador program for new members to welcome them to our chapter.
Our committee is responsible for planning 8 professional development events annually, typically held monthly.
This is where strategy meets execution.
We support how our Chapter shows up. From marketing trends and member communications to event promotion and brand presence, this team helps bring everything together.
We are organized, collaborative, and create a great space to get involved, build your skills, and contribute in a way that works for you.
If you are looking to be part of a strong team and gain hands-on experience, this is a great place to start.
Being involved in a committee is a great way to get to know other MPI members and get more out of your membership. On the Events Committee, we get to plan great events such as the annual Holiday Party (alongside ILEA and PCMA), Global Meeting Industry Day, our June Gala and finally our September Schmooze. It's great fun organizing an event, and you will get a wealth of hands-on experience and knowledge that can prepare you for event planning.
Being involved in a committee is a great way to get to know other MPI members and get more out of your membership. On the Partnerships Committee, you get to visit venues, meet with professionals in the industry and utilize your inner-sales person to ensure that we, as a Chapter, continue to partner with great sponsors from around British Columbia!
