A Night Among the Stars will honor Juliana Wathen while celebrating the achievements and contributions of the Houston hospitality and meetings community through a Broadway-inspired evening of recognition, entertainment, and networking.
Juliana Wathen, DMCP
Juliana M. Wathen relocated to Houston in 1987 to begin her career in theater as a costumer with Stages Repertory Theatre. Her passion for creativity and production naturally led her into the special events industry through Houston Scenic Studios, where she contributed to major charitable galas, corporate events, and large-scale productions across Texas.
She continued building her expertise as Senior Prop Designer for Party Props, Inc. before joining Cosmo Cool Concepts in 2008 as an event planner. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Juliana completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from Sam Houston State University. In 2021, she purchased Cosmo Cool Concepts and has since grown the company into one of Houston's premier destination management companies, known for its creativity, innovation, and exceptional event experiences.
In addition to her success in the events industry, Juliana enjoyed a celebrated career as a cabaret performer and actress, captivating Houston audiences for more than two decades. Her talents have been showcased in theaters, concert halls, and studio recordings, earning recognition for her humor, vocal ability, and unforgettable stage presence.
A dedicated member of Meeting Professionals International, Juliana has served the Houston Area Chapter in numerous leadership roles, culminating in her term as Chapter President for 2024–2025. Her passion for mentoring others, advancing the meetings industry, and creating meaningful experiences has made a lasting impact on the Houston hospitality community.
Juliana's career is a reflection of creativity, leadership, generosity, and a lifelong commitment to bringing people together through extraordinary experiences.
