A Letter from the President

This coming year, our leadership team is focusing on “getting back to basics” on what makes MPI Michigan chapter so great! We have made great strides already as we continue to build back our Chapter post pandemic, seeing an uptick in our membership numbers and engaged member participation. This year we are focused on strengthening our connections, providing meaningful education, showing ROI to our strategic partners, and increasing membership. Our incoming leaders are continuous improvers, who will strive to help foster the connections and engagement that make MPI Michigan so valuable. Our board leaders volunteer and dedicate many hours to MPI, and we are so fortunate to work for organizations that support our passions for our industry.

Our education team has already met numerous times to plan, research, and discuss some of our most pressing educational topics in today’s meetings climate and map out how our education will be highlighted this year. They have conducted site visits, compiling speaker ideas, and have created forms to help streamline our internal processes. We’re proud of the work that we have done so far to launch a CMP prep course in collaboration with MSAE this fall. We are hosting our Great Lakes Education Summit in Michigan this fall and are going to knock it out of the park. We’re very excited!

The Finance team have been working hard to launch an online store for partnership renewals, as well as finding creative, out-of-the-box ideas to show ROI to our partners. The online store will help cast a wider net and reach potential partners. They are working on strengthening our fulfillment pieces and know that our strategic partners and event sponsors are instrumental in our chapter’s success.

Membership is identifying who are potential members in our industry because we all know that so much has changed recently. While many have left our industry, there are many people who are operating in new roles, waiting for a warm welcome and to engage with them.

Our leadership development team has already strategized ways to engage our leaders in our MPI community, brainstormed ways to generate additional revenue for our chapter, and reach those that could benefit from our chapter’s scholarship monies.

Our Comms team has been working diligently to solidify ways to streamline our internal communications processes and to effectively lead our comms campaigns for the chapter. We will strive to have a cohesive tone in our chapters communications and reach everyone by utilizing multiple mediums of communication.

What we do is important, and we will continue to show our members and strategic partners the value of engaging with MPI Michigan.
