Hitting the Reset Button

Let’s face it, the world is full of plenty of unwelcome news, surprises, and changes these days. Our industry has been hit hard, and the road to recovery is still unclear.

How about we take a break from all that for a hot minute?

Let’s spend some time focusing on what we can control: ourselves and our attitudes. In this session, we’re going to hit an imaginary reset button both personally and professionally, and recalibrate our expectations. We’ll assess as individuals where we’re at physically, mentally, personally, and professionally vs. where we’d like to be. Shawna will guide us through a presentation, some insightful exercises, and some great small-group conversations. You’ll walk away with a personal roadmap to sustain you while we navigate to the Next Normal. Sound good?

Speaker

Shawna-Suckow-Keynote-Speaker-450x600px-72dpi

Shawna Suckow, CSP, CMP is a speaker with some serious knowledge of the hospitality industry. She was a global meeting and incentive planner over 20 years. In 2008, she founded SPIN, an association of senior-level planners which now has 2,500 planner members across North America.

Shawna began speaking professionally in 2012 to hospitality audiences, and in 2014 expanded to all industries, as an expert in buyer behavior and authentic selling. She’s the best-selling author of four books, with her fifth due later this year (‘Third Wave: How to Market & Sell in a Post-Pandemic Economy’).

What she’s proud of: She’s spoken on 5 continents in 17 countries, helping organizations to understand the ever-evolving customer landscape. Honors include achieving the highest designation a speaker can earn (CSP©), being named to the Global Top 100 Women Business & Tech Speakers, and Planners' Favorite Speakers lists.

Three memorable things about Shawna: she’s an expert hand-washer, excels in dog-walking, and has discovered during quarantine that she’s pretty good at puzzles and naps.
