KEYNOTE SPEAKER: STEVEN FOSTER, CMP, FOSTER + FATHOM

Steven G. Foster, CMP, is Managing Partner of Foster+Fathom, a Leadership Training and Goodness Development Group in Dallas, TX.

An award-winning speaker, author, business consultant; and an industry advocate for giving back to the communities where we live, work, and meet; Steven is a 30-year member of MPI, a Past-President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter

, and has served in a variety of roles on International Committees and Councils; including Facilitator and Chapter Training, RISE Awards, Chapter Advisory, Marketing and the MPI Foundation. In 2004 he was inducted into the MPI International Community of Honorees.

Among the first group of industry leaders to participate in MPI’s Preferred Facilitator Program, Steven has been helping corporate teams, association boards and non-profit organizations develop high-performance culture for more than 25 years. giving back to the communities where we live, work, and meet; Steven is a 30-year member of MPI, a Past-President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter, and has served in a variety of roles on International Committees and Councils; including Facilitator and Chapter Training, RISE Awards, Chapter Advisory, Marketing and the MPI Foundation. In 2004 he was inducted into the MPI International Community of Honorees.

Steven also is a Harley-Davidson LIFE Member who took 

a 13,000-mile solo motorcycle ride around the perimeter of the United States in 2013 to support the Boot Campaign, a national veteran’s organization where he serves as an Ambassador and Advisory Board Member. That journey is chronicled in his new book, “Full-Throttle Leadership: Passion, Power & Purpose on the Edge of America.”

He also has a “Full-Throttle” resume; receiving more than 15 top industry awards, including induction into the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Community of Honorees. In 2000, Steven and Wendy Foster became the first husband/wife business team to earn the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation; and both were profiled by CNN/Fortune as a Small Business Success.

MPI MI is teaming up with Swoop's Pantry for MI Event Industry day!

Everyone needs a little help sometimes. Any EMU student can use the pantry as needed during open hours. Shopping at Swoop's can help students stretch their budget and spend more time focused on their coursework and enjoying their college experience! Swoop's Pantry's mission is to provide the EMU community with food assistance and additional resources to positively impact well-being and college success.
