Certifications
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
Interested in achieving your Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation? The MPI Oregon Chapter provides education for the clock hours you need in order to apply, scholarships to help you pay for the application, books and testing fees, as well as offers study group sessions to prepare.

Upcoming CMP Exam Dates
Since August 2020, CMP candidates now have the option to take the exam from their homes via remote proctoring. In-center testing remains available as well. The certification exams are now offered year-round rather than only during set windows as was done in the past.
The CMP-HC Subspecialty
In 2014, the Convention Industry Council launched the Certified Meeting Professional healthcare subspecialty (CMP-HC) program to address the needs of a growing segment of CMPs who manage the production of meetings in the healthcare industry. Certification in Meeting Management (CMM)
The Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) program is an intensive study program that offers a customized, participatory training program from university professors associated with renowned Darden School of Business from the University of Virginia. These esteemed professors instruct on topics critical for managers to master, including risk mitigation, business analytics and compliance, and strategic negotiation.
