Here is What We Learned and How YOU can make it happen.

Cast your mind way back… remember March? That’s ok; me neither.

You’ll just have to trust me that back in March, we launched our bi-annual Member Survey and 35% of Ottawa chapter members took time to tell us what’s working, where you’re feeling stuck and what you’d like to see more of.

We heard that you:

• You value connection, not just networking, but community.
• You want meaningful opportunities to learn and grow,
• You want events that are fun, casual, and a little bit lighter.
• You want roundtables, behind-the-scenes experiences, new topics,
• You want more ways to meet each other where you're at, whether you’re a CMP-seeking student, a supplier looking for visibility or a seasoned planner trying to stay inspired.

We also heard this:

• You want MPI Ottawa to help you feel like you belong in this industry.

And we are here for all of that.

Your survey feedback will directly inform the MPI Ottawa Board’s strategic discussions at our upcoming fall retreat. That means real decisions will be made about events, communications, programming and priorities, will be grounded in what you told us matters most.

But here's the thing: building this chapter into the experience you want takes people. That is where the Member Care Committee comes in.

We are working on ways to support every part of the member journey; from welcome emails and student outreach, to ways of staying engaged in our ‘down months’ between our signature events, to responding to those “how can I get more involved?” moments we hear so often.

And so… we are looking for new voices to join our committee!

We need folks to help with recruitment efforts, recognition and retention as well as liaising with our student members. We also need someone to link up with our amazing communications committee. Whether you want to help with recruitment, act as a student liaison, find great ways to engage and recognize our members; we would love to have you. Let’s build this next chapter, together.
