Congratulations to Daniela Caputo, who has been introduced to the Hall of Fame of Event Industry, created by CMEExpo (Canadian Meetings and Events Expo).

MPI is thrilled to share that she was inducted as the 2020 Industry Mentor. This award category celebrates a planner or supplier who through his or her expertise, professional influence, or academic position has provided others with opportunity, inspiration, or ability to pursue excellence. A teacher at LaSalle College’s Event Planning program since 2009, this recognition could not be more fitting for Daniela, who candidly describes herself as a "proud mother' each time her students graduate even after 10 years of teaching.

We were lucky enough to catch Daniela to share some quick tidbits of about her. Read her answers below:

How did you join the industry? Accidentally

Was it a straight path (i.e. school to industry job) or a more circuitous route? A more intertwined circuitous route

Describe your most memorable event experience (as an attendee or planner, whichever). When I joined and started getting work, the look on my client’s faces is/was PRICELESS – the HIGH I got (and still get) from that is unquestionably UBER satisfying!!

An industry tool you couldn’t live without? OMGOSH my peeps; colleagues/suppliers/partners – without them I am NOTHING

Currently reading and/or listening to? Spotify-ing TONS reliving and revisiting my Disco & Classic Rock 80’s – 90’s…

Words of wisdom? If you want it BAD ENOUGH (that you can ‘taste it’) – just GO FOR IT no matter the hurdles are!!!!
