What was the main objective of attending the event?
Representing Tourism Richmond as the event Wine Sponsor, I had the opportunity to connect with some amazing individuals in the industry and showcase Richmond BC as a business events destination.
What was the most memorable aspect of the gala event for you, and why did it stand out?
The Prix Prestige Awards Gala was a terrific evening of recognition and celebration. As a first-timer, it was an absolute pleasure meeting with many fellow MPI members and guests while being able to share a little bit about Richmond. Being surrounded by people and hearing their tremendous experiences and stories, I learned a lot. In fact, I have recently joined the Chapter as a member!
What motivated your decision to sponsor this gala event, and what do you hope to achieve or contribute through your support?
The MPI Ottawa Prix Prestige Awards Gala is an evening of celebrating excellence in the industry and as this year's Wine Sponsor, Tourism Richmond was delighted to be able to support the “cheers” to the many nominees and winners.
What was your overall experience like?
The evening was magical from the setup of the event space to the networking opportunities. Learning about the many achievements of key industry representatives was truly inspirational and we look forward to attending future MPI Ottawa events.
What connections or experiences did you gain from attending this event, and how might they influence your future involvement or support?
As a result of such a positive experience at the Awards and the people I met, my MPI membership was confirmed!

Kudos to the organizing committee. It is apparent that a lot of hours went into organizing such a successful evening!
Can you tell us a bit more about Richmond, British Columbia as a Business Events Destination?

- New! Business Events Incentive Fund: Tourism Richmond is offering a new incentive program for meeting planners who choose Richmond, for their next business event. There is significant funding available for both bid-phase expenses and booked business event costs.
