Get Through This Together

Not sure what resources are available for Canadians and businesses in the tourism sector impacted by COVID-19? This webpage is a great place to start. The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) has done an excellent job of outlining the benefits and resources that are available to both businesses and individuals during these unprecedented times.

The Prime Minister has announced more aid for Canadians, including topping up the pay of essential workers and expanding the Canada Emergency Response Benefit allowing more people to qualify. If you had a reduction in hours and earn $1,000 a month or less, you now qualify for the CERB. Workers who have run out of EI benefits recently, or those now losing seasonal work opportunities, will also be able to receive the benefit.

ExcelHR Spring at Home

Looking to shop local? ExcelHR has compiled some of their favourite local businesses to support during COVID-19. Discover local gems from Coffee Shops and Breweries to Garden Centres and Pet Supplies! They’ve also shared their much anticipated Spring at Home Guide. It’s a little different than the typical guide packed with festivals, events and shows, but they did a fantastic job of highlighting how we can all make the most of our time at home.

In these times of struggle, now is the time to stay connected. Reach out to your industry peers and know that we are in this together!
