Register for the New Season of Virtual Fundraising Events from Algonquin Students!

Following the success of the virtual fundraising events series back in March 2021, the new intake of students of the Event Management Program at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology: Overview | LinkedIn are proud and excited to announce that several new virtual fundraising events are starting in July.

Witnessing the tremendous impact of the pandemic on the events world, students were trained on how to organize a virtual event, preparing for a new era of the events industry where hybrid events are expected to take over. With different contents and themes, the events will surely bring new, unique and colorful experiences to attendees. They also worked very hard to spread love and hope, connecting people through these events. Make sure you sign up to join them.

Chill and Grill: An inspiring cooking and chilling event with many more fun activities!

Patio season has arrived and we're all firing up our Bar-B-Qs! If you want to have fun and learn how to prepare an amazing outdoor meal, join us for "Grill and Chill”.

During your time, professional chefs will guide you through a melt-in-your-mouth summer BBQ meal and you'll experience a thirst-quenching mixology session. The event will also showcase some comedy that will tickle your ribs (not pork ones!), we'll highlight an amazing singer who will delight you with her music, a silent auction and much more.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! Hop on board the virtual "Bollywood Xpress”. This magical journey will take you to Bollywood experiences from different eras of the Indian cinema. You will travel back in time to the 1940’s classic and up to the current 2000’s Bollywood which will feature breath taking entertainment including vibrant and energetic Bollywood music and dance, a comedy show to chuckle up your mood, a saree draping session that you can incorporate into your wardrobe, a lip-smacking demonstration of famous Indian snacks, a silent auction and so much more!

So, grab your coffee or brunch and sit back to enjoy this great Bollywood virtual event. The team looks forward to welcoming you on this exhilarating ride in the world of Indian cinema.

All fundraising events listed will benefit two amazing local charities, the Dave Smith Treatment Centre who help youths overcome additions and Candlelighters who assist families with a child diagnosed with cancer. The event organizers hope you will choose to participate, in doing so you will be contributing to these excellent organizations.
