2027 BOD Nom Header

Be a part of the MPI PHL Board of Directors and make a difference!

Each year, MPI Philadelphia Area Chapter’s Nominating Committee recommends a slate of candidates to serve on the Chapter Board of Directors. Nominations and applications are now open!  Please click on the button below to submit your name or the name of a peer for a position on the Board.

The Board of Directors is made up of Philadelphia Area Chapter members: Directors and Vice Presidents, who comprise the Executive Committee. Active chapter members in good standing are eligible for nomination and election to any elective office. For Executive Committee positions, it is preferable that the member has previous service on the Board of Directors. These positions are available for the 2027 calendar-year term (January to December 2027).

The Nominating Committee is made up of MPI member planners and suppliers who are in good standing and are familiar and active in chapter functions/events.

MPI Board of Directors Qualifications:

  • Be an MPI Member in good standing
  • Be willing to fulfill the obligations of office, in the capacity indicated
  • Have a history of involvement, accomplishment, and dependable service to MPI
  • Be willing to contribute time, energy, and creativity to the chapter with the consent of your employer

Serving on the board is not only demanding and challenging, but it is also extremely rewarding. Consider becoming a leader in a chapter of the largest organization of meeting professionals, with a chance to contribute to the growth and professionalism of our Chapter.

Before committing to a board position, please review the job descriptions available here or navigate over to the MPI PHL Committees page.

In addition, consider the following responsibilities of all board members:
  • Must attend and participate in 10 of 12 board meetings (generally precedes a monthly meeting every other each month)
  • Must submit a board report each month with fellow committee members
  • Attendance at monthly chapter meetings is strongly encouraged
  • Attendance at the 2-day annual retreat in October/November prior to the start of the elected term, as well as the midyear retreat in May/June is essential
