About Our Chapter President

Megan Powers is an accomplished marketing and events strategist with over two decades of experience in event production and execution. A strategic marketer and technologist, she excels in producing impactful face-to-face experiences that boost brand awareness and drive sales growth.

She has been working on Oracle's Global Events team in sponsorship operations since 2023. Megan founded her business Powers of Marketing in 2013 and she has been hosting/facilitating digital and in-person events for her current client Chief Wine Officer since 2021. She is a natural-born facilitator who also puts her curious mind to work as a podcaster, hosting and producing her podcast called "Making a Marketer" since 2017.

Megan has served our chapter in many ways, including roles as VP of Marketing and VP of Professional Development. As our 2026 President, she is excited to lead the MPI San Diego board of directors through a year where our board, the many volunteers, and members-at-large feel included, accepted, mentored, and appreciated.

Her theme for the year is One TEAM. BIG dreams.
