Rising Star - Courtney Brown

This month, we are thrilled to recognize Courtney Brown as our Rising Star! Courtney has been a member of MPI for one year, but is a true industry veteran with over 18 years of experience. At a young age, Courtney started out serving tables at the Radisson in Grand Rapids, MI. This experience and others would lead him to become an enthusiastic and respected corporate event professional. He now works as a Sourcing Sales Executive for American Express GBT. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys time outdoors and traveling with his husband Kyle.

Currently, Courtney serves as the Social Media Chair for our chapter, keeping us all connected and up-to-date on industry news and chapter events via the management of our social media postings. Courtney’s work ethic is outstanding and his initiative is incredibly valuable for the team he supports. Going forward, Courtney is committed to staying involved in MPI and is excited for what’s to come. Reflecting on the past year, Courtney reminds us all “Things will get better! The good always beats the bad in this industry.”
