March 31, 2022 Meeting - Dynamic Planning in Changing Times: A Roundtable Discussion

Over the past two years, the dynamic of the industry has drastically changed due to disruption of outside forces. As a result, in July 2021, 4 million Americans from across all industries quit their job triggering what has become known as the "Great Resignation" and began redefining what it means to "work." Whether by choice or climate, those new and old to the Meetings and Events industry have been challenged to problem solve, take action, leave, or start something entirely new within their career path.

What does this mean for the Meetings and Events Industry? Join us for an interactive education session in the form of roundtables for an opportunity to connect with other members and discuss a variety of topics impacting the us of today. These topics include:

• Leadership in Turbulent Times
• Planning with Purpose
• Entrepreneurship and Business Growth
• Parallel Planning

The session will feature four separate table topics, and participants will have the opportunity to spend up to 20 minutes engaging with fellow members around each of the above topics.

This program has been submitted to the Events Industry Council (EIC) for CMP Preferred Provider review and is approved for 1.5 credit hours. MPI St. Louis Area Chapter has been approved by the Events Industry Council as a Preferred Provider of the above-listed continuing education course, which qualifies for CMP continuing education credit. Determination of continuing education credit eligibility or Preferred Provider status does not imply EIC's endorsement or assessment of education quality.

Venue
Magnolia St. Louis, a Tribute Marriott Portfolio Hotel, was originally built in 1924 as the Mayfair Hotel by Charles Heiss and shines brightly as the crown jewel of downtown hospitality and sophistication. It is the site of many historical firsts, including the first female general manager in St. Louis and the birthplace of “chocolates on a pillow” by cinematic icon, Cary Grant. With more than 8,000 square feet of event space it is well suited for large presentations and celebrations for up to 200 guests. In 2021, The Magnolia become a part of the Coraltree Hospitality Collection which includes such award winning resorts as Terranea Resort, Suncadia Resort, and Lake Nona Wave Hotel.
