Scaling Yourself: Using AI to Power Sales & Event Workflows
Event professionals across St. Louis are being told to "use AI," but too often it results in generic outreach that sounds nothing like you - and creates more work instead of less. This 45-minute, interactive session is built for planners and suppliers who want to use AI as a practical resource to support their sales, marketing, and event workflow. We'll cover AI best practices, smarter prospecting, simple research workflows, and easy personalization tips so your outreach sounds human, confident, and on-brand.
Before the session, attendees will complete a short questionnaire about their role, how they're using AI, and where they're getting stuck. Those responses shape the live demos, ensuring what you see reflects the real St. Louis workflows and challenges. You'll leave with clear, usable ways to save time, personalize faster, and build stronger connections across the STL event community.

Trevor Sookraj is a founder, event planner, and former marketer, with several years of experience scaling tech companies and agencies. He started his career at Shopify in 2016 as an early employee on the enterprise team (Plus), became the 1st growth hire at Clearbit (acquired by HubSpot), and built the screening function at Shiftsmart to take thousands of calls per day. Most recently, he built Divisional, a marketplace that matches companies with part-time growth talent, to 7-figure revenue with more than 70 clients.
He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient and has been deeply involved with Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption, both with the startups he works with and his personal growth advisory. Trevor delivered a featured presentation on AI (full recording via MPI Academy) to 250+ planners at MPI’s WEC in June 2025, showing them how to improve their AI knowledge with free tools like ChatGPT and Copilot. Since then, he’s led sessions at MPI’s the EVENT, PCMA’s CIC, and to local chapters in Virginia and Washington, DC (Potomac).
