MPI Chicago Area Chapter Events

MPI-CAC offers a wide variety of engaging education and networking events throughout the year.

Our education events such as Knowledge Shares, Signature Luncheon and Industry Xchange provide the opportunity to learn from your peers as well as from subject matter experts in the meetings and events industry and beyond.  Networking opportunities are infused in every MPI-CAC event, though it takes center stage in our special events such as the Holiday Party, Golf Classic and Trivia Night.  We never miss an opportunity to recognize the best in the industry and that is never more evident than at the Annual Awards Recognition Celebration.

Redefining Dining: Food and Beverage Service Post COVID-19
11:30 a.m. -1 p.m.
Thursday, May 13
Location: Virtual

Whether it’s shared during education, networking or casually, a central point of the attendee experience is the food served at a meeting or event. With the increasing distribution of vaccines, the easing of gathering restrictions, and the arrival of warmer weather, the return of meetings, events and travel is on the horizon. With more and larger assemblies, comes the need and the expectation of keeping attendees' palates satisfied as well as prioritizing their safety. Join us for an engaging panel exchange on the immediate future of the food and beverage industry, as we look forward to meeting and traveling in the coming months. During this session, our panelists will discuss: • new considerations when planning food and beverage and service for meetings as a result of COVID • the effect of these changes on service and culinary teams and how what that means for planners and suppliers • how to maintain sustainability initiatives in light of increasingly disposable and individual serving styles • what long-term effects and attendee behavior changes we can expect We look forward to seeing you virtually for the panel and networking immediately following the session.
