Melissa Legaux, CMP President MPI Georgia Chapter |
Hello MPI Georgia!
As my year of service as your first African American female President ends, I'm excited to share my personal story of how I began my path of servant leadership within the chapter.
My MPI Georgia volunteer journey has been a rewarding and unforgettable experience, both personally and professionally. Each service role has provided me with a new opportunity to expand and grow an acquired skillset and expand my knowledge in a new area.
I started my journey by volunteering in the following capacities.
I then explored volunteer leadership with the board of Directors in the following roles:
MPI Georgia has played an instrumental role in my career growth. The CMP Study Group provided an excellent platform for training and development.
This organization is a unique and connected community to expand your reach in the following areas: education, mindset, comfort zone, skillsets, networking, and leadership.
The opportunity for these new experiences provided me a platform to grow in areas I didn't have previous exposure. However, once I gained the new skill, I could seek new opportunities within my professional career.
My ultimate success thus far is now having the ability to lead a large team of chapter leaders with dynamic personalities, beautiful spirits, and unique perspectives, alongside being the industry's top talent in their individual careers.
I'm honored to have served as your President. I'm forever grateful to our chapter's preceding Past Presidents and leaders, who have laid the pathway to provide me with this honorable opportunity and soon be part of our chapter's legacy.
Always remember, your active volunteer.
