I’m humbled and honored to serve as MPI Georgia Chapter’s first African American female president. Our chapter’s membership is comprised of a beautiful array of diverse members. We pride ourselves for actively listening to each member’s individual perspective and needs while continuously celebrating our individual uniqueness. This year, we look forward to welcoming our chapter’s first DEI Community Inclusion board appointee to ensure representation in the years ahead.
As our industry continues recovery efforts resulting from the pandemic, we are faced with the ever-growing challenge of operating differently while being tasked to do more with less. However, MPI GA is here to support and assist you. We will properly position you to thrive in today’s marketplace by providing in-depth quality education, interactive networking opportunities, and showstopping program experiences ahead.
As our organization’s motto states, “When we meet, we change the world”. The essential power of human connection is ever more so present in today’s society. MPI Georgia is committed to continuously building a platform to assist you both professionally and personally. I encourage you to actively engage within the fabric of this organization, as a volunteer within our Top Performing Chapter, in one of the many volunteer capacities we have available to fit your needs. By being of service, you will enhance and expand skillsets, cultivate new business relationships, and most importantly, gain new friends along the way.
Our Vision: MPI will lead and empower the meeting and event community to change the world.
Our Mission: MPI will connect the global meeting and event community to learn, innovate, collaborate and advocate.
Our Commitment to Diversity: MPI’s aim is to embrace and foster an inclusive business climate of respect for all peoples regardless of national origin, race, religion, sex, gender identity, gender expression, age, color, sexual orientation or disability.
I look forward to serving alongside you!
Melissa Legaux, CMP
