Catherine Foreman joined Georgia MPI in October. Her first introduction to MPI was through a former employer where she found an arsenal of awesome industry partners and clients. She has already made many connections and is excited about becoming more involved in our chapter. Catherine planted her roots in the meeting industry when she served as a small meetings manager in Hilton Head, S.C. Currently she serves as one of two small meetings managers at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta. She manages groups with 10-50 rooms for Corporate, Technology, Automotive, Retail, Legal, and SMERF/Government markets. Catherine strives to ensure every client feels comfortable and at home when doing business and as a guest of the hotel.
When seeking to escape and unplug for a few days, Catherine and her friends travel to music festivals across the United States and one day, hopefully Europe. The absolute best festival she has attended is the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Michigan. This event had tons of electronic DJs/Producers and Jam Bands playing on stages at a giant ranch. There were massive art installations, lights, and even live painters dispersed in the “forest.” Incorporating art into the trees and the surrounding environment was a phenomenal production experience along with the music and revelers.
When asked which four individuals, living or dead, Catherine would like to invite to dinner, her number one pick was her mother who passed away it 2017. “I’d love to be able to talk to her and catch her up on everything and just have one more hug.” Catherine’s remaining three guests would be Armin Van Buuren (Dutch DJ), Tim Bergling (known professionally as Avicii, a Swedish musician), and Sandra Bullock (Virginia-born actress).
