Kelsey Schulte, CMP Associate Event Manager World of Coca-Cola Member since January 2019

The World of Coca-Cola is an interactive museum documenting the history of the Coca-Cola beverage brand. New member, Kelsey, is an Associate Event Manager who collaborates with caterers and vendors to plan and execute extraordinary events for corporate and convention clientele. Sybil Lee, CMP, an active MPI member who just happens to be Kelsey’s manager, encouraged her to become a part of our association. Kelsey’s first hospitality job was a whirlwind from the start. She worked with two Starwood properties in the NYC Metro Market as a Catering Coordinator. “It was an amazing learning opportunity to start shaping the departments and assisting Catering & Sales while it was just a skeleton team.”

Fitting with this month’s theme on “Learning with MPI,” Kelsey continues to grow as a hospitality professional by taking advantage of continuing education and volunteer opportunities. She advises new members to “Take every opportunity you get. Keep learning, growing, and never settle.”  Kelsey is excited about working with Proof of the Pudding who is hosting the Leading Caterers of America event at the World of Coca-Cola. She is looking forward to this event that is sure to deliver innovative food and beverage experiences.

Kelsey’s “thirst” for travel stems from her international upbringing. She is Canadian-born and European-raised (Amsterdam, Paris, and London). She left her family in London to attend Cornell University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration. Her parents eventually moved to the U.S. while her younger sister decided to stay in London. Kelsey continues to thrive as she dreams of cruising around the world, and she hopes to move back overseas one day.
