Elizabeth Ingram Event Specialist  AGCO Member since August 2023

Please help us welcome Elizabeth Ingram to the Georgia Chapter of MPI. She currently serves as an Event Specialist at AGCO. When Elizabeth moved to Atlanta and began her job with AGCO, she attended a few MPI-hosted events with her boss and other fellow MPI members. As a result, she was encouraged to join the MPI Georgia Chapter and, upon doing so, immediately joined an MPI Study Group to obtain her CMP certification.

At AGCO, Elizabeth helps plan and execute first-class events and meetings for internal AGCO personnel and the company's vast community of dealers and customers. AGCO is a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and distributing agricultural machinery and precision ag technology. By creating memorable event experiences for AGCO, Elizabeth helps to further the company's mission of putting farmers first. Her current and coolest thing she's working on is the AGCO Board of Directors' trip to Brazil.

Elizabeth's first job in the meeting industry was at an advertising agency in Greenville, S.C. She represented a QSR brand located in the Southeast and helped plan their press conferences, new store openings, franchise meetings, and brand sponsorship events. It stood out to her because she realized how much she loves to plan and organize events for others and help them achieve success. "I remember thinking, 'if I could just plan events and meetings all the time, that would be the best job ever!' And sure enough – I was right, and it is!"

If Elizabeth had a walk-on song that played every time she walked into a room, she would choose Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody." This is a very fitting song since one of her best practices is to go with the flow. "Do everything in your power to plan ahead. Then, when something happens that is out of your control (which we all know will happen), roll with the punches and do the next best thing instead."

Travelers will appreciate that one of her favorite things to collect is the pressed pennies from the machines you find in the most random places. "You know, the machines that cost $0.51 to hand roll your very own souvenir penny? I have hundreds of those from all over the world that I've collected from various travels. I really do look through my coin booklet every now and then and think back on some fun memories because of those pennies!"
