The Georgia Chapter of MPI welcomes member Shannon Johnson, CITP who serves as a Sales Manager at the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa. She joined the chapter in February 2022. Shannon has been in the Hospitality Community for 30 plus years. She joined the Ross Bridge Pre-Opening team in 2004 and has been deployed to the Southeastern market welcoming clients and groups to the Southern Castle for 18 years. Shannon loves traveling the Southeast connecting with potential clients and sharing the story of her beautiful resort and the city that surrounds it.

Shannon was a member of Georgia MPI in the early 2000’s. During the 2020 year of COVID, seeing how Georgia MPI was connecting with their members online and keeping everyone engaged it sparked her interest to renew her membership and get involved. She looks forward to diving in and getting involved. Anyone need a new committee member?  Call Shannon!

When Shannon is not making sales calls, and contracting groups you can find her traveling with her husband, Kevin, hopefully on their bucket list trip, an Alaskan cruise. She met her husband while working at the same hotel and have been together 30 years. “He was the cutest bellman ever!” She also has 3 sons, 1 daughter-in-law, and 2 cute grandsons and enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren. And to put a smile on her face, she would play “Sing a Song” by Earth Wind and Fire. “It’s one of those songs that just makes you stop, sing, and dance!”
