Heard Global
Member since February 2022

Please help us extend a warm welcome to Korey Troyer, Director of Business Development at Heard Global. He joined the Georgia Chapter of MPI in February 2022 and was drawn to MPI Georgia after attending the Spring Summit at Truist Park and saw first-hand the benefits of its networking & education opportunities. At Heard Global, Korey helps cultivate business opportunities with brands worldwide as well as in the Greater Atlanta Area. Currently, Heard Global is the official Event Technology Partner of Truist Park Events and the Atlanta Braves so being involved with such a wonderful organization is pretty cool. Korey spent his first eight years in the Sports & Entertainment space with an experiential marketing agency before he transitioned to corporate theater as a production manager. He immediately found out how much more challenging it was to produce a general session.

Whether the day is focused on personal or professional work, Korey starts his day off with his daily cup of coffee and the following three best practices focused on care and respect:

  • Express the same care and enthusiasm for your client’s brand/event as they do.

  • Always treat your crew/team with the same respect as you do your client.

  • “As my mom often said, ‘There’s always time for manners.’”

Korey also has a hunger to learn and continually grow. First, he collects audio books. “I have over 450 books in my Audible library. My car, the gym, flights, and household chores become a great time to learn.” Additionally, if he could choose four individuals, living or dead, to host for dinner, the following would be Korey’s guests and why:

  • Marcus Aurelius. I’m fascinated how the most powerful man in the world could be so humble and introspective.

  • Thomas Jefferson. To understand his divergent beliefs and how such a flawed man could be so prophetic.

  • Tim Ferriss. He’s led the life that most people would only dream of living.

  • Arthur C. Clarke. He was an author, a scientist, and futurist.
