Walter “Tre” Idlette, Co-Owner & Director of Atlanta & Lead Photographer RTW Photography Member since August 2022

Please extend a warm MPI Georgia welcome to Walter Idlette, Co-Owner & Director of Atlanta & Lead Photographer at RTW Photography. Also known as Tre, he was introduced to photography at the age of 16, and his early education in photography focused on black-and-white film and the use of a darkroom. Tre holds a master's degree in accountancy from Wake Forest University, a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Florida, and is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia. Tre was introduced to Georgia MPI through clients that are in the meeting and event industry.

After spending over five years as a tax practitioner, Tre quit his full-time job and took steps toward his lifelong dream of being an entrepreneur. He joined the RTW Team in 2017 as an owner and lead photographer. In 2020, he accepted a new role as Director of Atlanta, leading the company's growth and development efforts in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Tre is passionate about capturing life's most important moments. He believes that our lives are a series of unique moments and that photography and videography are the gateways to making those moments unforgettable. Tre's first job in the event industry was being an event photographer and taking headshots. "I love taking headshots because you get to have a 1-on-1 interaction with someone and help them feel confident in a moment where they may feel insecure or vulnerable." The coolest project he is working on now involves building a photography academy for up-and-coming shooters.

When not behind the camera, he enjoys traveling the world and spending time with family and friends. Tre's mother and one younger sibling are in South Carolina (Gullah Geechee), and his fathers are in Southern Georgia. On top of everything else Tre has accomplished, we extend our congratulations as he and his wife are expecting their first child in June of 2023! Tre is already a dog dad to Brooklyn, a 5 lb. Yorkshire Terrier. When asked which four individuals he would like to have dinner with, Tre chose Barack Obama, Lebron James, J. Cole, and DaVale Ellis. "They have all achieved a level of personal and professional success that I admire. They are very positive people and share a growth mindset. Lastly, they always elevate their team, inspire others, and give back to their communities."
