Join MPI Georgia to welcome new member, Regina K Robuck, owner and founder of RKR Sponsor Solutions, LLC. A Georgia native, she founded her company in 2018 with a focus on association sales. Regina has been within the association management world for over 25 years. During this time, she has been in a variety of positions from marketing, membership, education, and finally as an executive director. Because of this experience, Regina understands the dynamics involved in working with non-profit organizations and volunteer boards. Being an executive director is where Regina found her passion for sales. The strong relationships Regina has built is a trademark of her success. She is very passionate about her clients and their partners and strives for excellence to create a mutually beneficial relationship. The coolest thing Regina is working on right now involves two clients that she has worked for in the past (one for 15 years and the other for 7 years). They have come back around to hire her for association sales. “Never burn your bridges.”
Regina’s introduction to the meeting industry started at the University of South Carolina where she earned her BS in Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration. She worked in hotels and did some event planning. Regina’s first job out of college was with the Georgia Pharmaceutical Association serving in roles of education, event planning, and membership. Regina was introduced to MPI when she served as their sales manager for six years as an employee of Meeting Expectations.
Regina is a native Georgian, an only child and proud daughter of Phillip and Winona Robuck. She lives in her childhood home in Acworth, Georgia and have renovated it from top to bottom. “It is cool being in my home full of memories.” Her mom and dad were both teachers and met while teaching. Her father blazed a path for the first school integration in Cobb County. And her mother was a master Latin teacher. They left a legacy at their jobs and within the community. Additionally, in their honor, they have a booth (The Robuck Booth) at Henry’s Louisiana Grill in Acworth and Regina donated a K9 to the Acworth Police Department. His name is K9 Robuck. “So, the name Robuck will continue to live within and service the Acworth community, just like my parents!” Regina Thanks both her parents for her ability to speak to anyone, and her love of travel, culture, and music. “I am a good blend of them both, and I strive every day to make them proud.” And in the wise words from her mom when Regina was having a challenging time at her job, she said: “You deserve to be happy, and I deserve to not hear you complain about your job. So, either stay and be content or find something else that you would enjoy.”
Outside of work, Regina has a passion for live music and theatre (traveling anywhere to hear and see a great band/artist/show), finding amazing and unique hard ciders, and taking trips in the states and cruising around the world. She has scheduled a European cruise for her next vacation this month visiting London, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, and Belgium.
