MPI Georgia welcomes Nicole K. as a new member of the chapter as of July 2021. She was introduced to MPI in 2003 by her then mentor and fellow MPI member Dion Magee, CMM, PMP, HMCC, CTA, CIS, CSSBB, GRCP, GRCA, CRCPM but did not join until this year.

Nicole K. is the owner and founder of NKN Creative Solutions LLC, an event and fashion design organization that provides innovative event branding solutions for small businesses and individuals within the Trenton, New Jersey, and Atlanta, Georgia regions. She has professionally worked in the event industry as an event planner since 1999. She has an A.A. from Bucks County Community College with a degree in Management/ Marketing and attended Thomas Edison State University. Inspired to make a difference in the world of fashion for the outsize market as well as events, Nicole K. in 2007 would also become the founder and Chief Designing Officer of the American fashion house and eponymous plus size fashion label, ELOCIN. (Her name spelled backward.)  Recognized by Full Figure Fashion Week as the “Gucci” for the woman sized 14 - 24, she was known and highly sought after for her signature ready-to-couture pieces and lavished fashion studded parties. This business sector closed in 2019.

Nicole K.’s first job in the meeting industry was in 2001 with Nubank.com an organization with expertise in forming new banks and raising capital. Her responsibilities were to facilitate partnerships with local service providers/entities for the opening of community banks. Nicole K. would seek sponsors and vendors, as well as host a minimum of three weekly events for 20 -50 attendees. The position was in a fast-paced environment and required daily travel to and from event sites in both NJ and Philadelphia. Her responsibilities included planning, operations, and execution of each event assigned to her. She attributes her success in that position to her eagerness to learn, her affable personality, and her innate ability to effectively deal with highly difficult situations and people. When asked with whom she would most like to swap places for a day, Nicole K. explained that she never really wanted to walk in anyone’s shoes because it’s difficult trying to keep her own shoes on. “However, I’m going to be spontaneous in my thinking and swap places with the business magnate, Elon Musk. To be honest, I would just want access to his Twitter account so that I can schedule future tweets that read ‘Dogecoin to the moon!’  She was a single parent with two sons by the age of nineteen. She chuckles whenever she thinks of them. “My guys, now 28 & 29 are hilarious, as different as day is to night, but they are very close.” Her personal cure for the pandemic cabin fever is…After being locked down for close to a year, eight of my girlfriends and I have decided to spend the week in Cartagena, Colombia this Fall. I intend on resting, relaxing, and staying as safe as possible.”
