October MPI Joint Education Event - 2026

Scholarships Available: Up To Two (2)

MPI Greater Orlando is proud to offer up to two (2) student scholarships for current hospitality, event management, and tourism students to attend our October Joint Education Event (date TBD). These scholarships support emerging professionals by providing access to education, networking, and industry engagement.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet all of the following criteria:

• Current enrollment in a hospitality, event management, tourism, or related program at an accredited college or university (UCF, Valencia, Rosen, or other qualifying institutions).

• Active MPI Knights Student Member or a student who expresses intent to join MPI Greater Orlando within the next 180 days.

• Interest in pursuing a career in meetings, events, hospitality, tourism, or venue management.

• Availability to attend the October Joint Education Event in full.

• Good academic standing as defined by the student’s institution.

• Not previously awarded an MPI Greater Orlando student scholarship within the past 12 months.

What the Scholarship Covers

• Full registration to attend the October Joint Education Event valued at $40.00. 

• Access to all education sessions, networking opportunities, and chapter programming included in the event.

• Recognition on‑site as an MPI Greater Orlando Student Scholarship Recipient.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

• Demonstrated interest in the meetings and events industry.

• Professional goals and how attendance at the October event supports them.

• Engagement in MPI, student organizations, internships, or volunteer roles.

• Clarity and quality of application responses.

• Commitment to attending the event if selected.

• Applications Open: August 5, 2026

• Application Deadline: August 31, 2026

• Recipients Notified: September 15, 2026

• Event Date: October 2026 (exact date forthcoming)

Additional Student Opportunity

Complimentary MPI Greater Orlando Student Membership

For graduating seniors (graduation on or before June 2027)

MPI Greater Orlando is pleased to offer up to five (5) complimentary Student Membership (valued at $40 for the first year) to seniors graduating on or before May 2027.

• Applications Open: July 14, 2026

• Application Deadline: July 31, 2026

• Recipients Notified: August 5, 2026

Memberships must be redeemed no later than August 21, 2026.

This will be processed as a rebate, and a receipt of payment and your MPI Member ID are required for reimbursement. Receipts due by August 21, 2026 will be issued their rebate on September 1, 2026. 

What MPI Student Membership Is

MPI Student Membership is an entry‑level membership tier for full‑time students pursuing degrees in hospitality, event management, tourism, business, or related fields. It provides access to MPI’s global network, professional development, and industry resources at a reduced annual rate of $40 USD.
