Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization and now more than ever MPI MN needs your passion, energy, and drive to make our chapter and industry strong. Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, enhance your resume, and meet a diverse group of peers to add to your network.
I have been a member of MPI since 2008 and have been a volunteer member most of that time. In my volunteer experience, I have learned several skills that I would never have had the opportunity to learn, especially when I was more junior in my career. When I moved to a new city, I have always known that I could rely on my local MPI Chapter to make new, industry connections. As I have transitioned to serve on a Chapter Board, it has provided me with leadership skills that I can integrate into my job. Working with other volunteers and our members continually reinvigorates my passion for our industry – and I have a lot of fun in the process! MPI MN has volunteer positions with varying time commitments and responsibilities. We will work with you to find the best fit for you and your professional development goals. We are currently seeking the following volunteer positions:

Assist with social media postings with MPIMN initiatives and events. Super fun, creative positions! 3-4 hours each month. |

Director of Strategic Alliances |
Support the VP of Strategic Alliances on budgeting disbursements and questions, supporting the various sub-committees, and managing committee paperwork. |

Sponsorship Fulfillment Volunteer |
Tracking sponsorship benefits and ensuring sponsorship benefits are fulfilled. 2-3 hours per month. |

Membership |
Monthly Prospect/Expired Call Volunteer |
Receives a monthly report of prospective and expired members. Makes calls to ask about re-joining MPI. 1 to 2 hours per month. |

Education |
WeConnect Committee Volunteers |
Work firsthand on a large-scale hybrid event – a great experience for both planner and supplier members! 2-3 hours per month. |
