MPI Minnesota President’s November 2020 Message
Greeting Members!
Another month goes by and we have successfully held two virtual monthly meetings as well as a coffee chat. Our next Chapter Coffee Chat will be on November 6, 2020. November’s Coffee Chat will feature Andrew Guerrera, Director of Food & Beverage, with the Hilton Minneapolis. Andrew will share updates on changes in F&B service in meetings and at their restaurant. This is a FREE Zoom event, but registration is required.
Following that is our Holiday Celebration at the Quincy, on November 18, 2020. This will be a hybrid event. We will have our silent auction items available both in-person and virtually. I have seen some of the silent auction items rolling in this year, and we have some great donations! You won’t want to miss this event. Registration is required, so sign up today.
I want to hear from you! We have scheduled two focus groups via zoom to meet with members to gather feedback on how we are doing as a chapter, and what more you want out of your membership. We are hoping to hear from new members to see if we are meeting the expectations when you joined, as well as long time members, who have experience with our chapter. The dates are December 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm or January 5, 2021 at 10:00 am. Check back on our website for updates about these two powerful groups.

We are currently seeking nominations for the 2021-2022 term. Self-nominations are encouraged, so nominate yourself, or another member.
Speaking from experience, I myself have been able to grow personally and develop my career as a result of my involvement with the Board of Directors. I don’t know about you, but at this point in time, growth and development are even more attractive to me!
