Taking Control: A Fireside Chat with the PCA Team

When the COVID-19 pandemic reared its ugly head, everyone in the meetings and events industry was impacted in dramatic ways. Job furloughs, layoffs, reduced hours, lost clients... many lost hope. But three CMPs focused on resiliency, leadership and innovation to come together with a nurse and writer to take control of the situation and seek out the next steps in future growth for those in our industry by developing the Pandemic Compliance Advisor (PCA) program and open new pathways for planners and supplies to jumpstart their careers.

This fireside chat will bring insight on how these individuals came together; the serendipitous mindset that built their team; how they created what they could not find; and how to lead by finding the path into the new era of meeting and event management.

While offering great insight and inspiration alone, this session will also serve as a sneak peek and prelude for those who may be interested in taking the Pandemic Compliance Advisor class, an EIC-approved certificate course designed for meeting professionals from both the planner and supplier side. Get your questions answered and learn more about this valuable program offered through Health Education Services.

The result was a live webinar presentation that has been attended by more than 18,000 people. Outreach from Mary-Ann Urbanovich has resulted in an allied program for meeting professionals that was created by the SME team of CMPs Mary-Ann, Heather Seasholtz, Shannon Majewski, and writer Theresa Schwegel.
