MPI-CAC Event Registration Policies, Terms, and Conditions

 

By registering for a MPI-CAC event, you agree to the following Meeting Professionals International, Chicago Area Chapter (MPI-CAC) registration policies, terms and conditions: 

 

Registration Required
Name badges are required for access to the Event. This includes all session, networking and other functions held in conjunction to the Event. 

 

Walk-In Registrations
All walk-in registrations may be charged onsite administrative fee, in addition to the registration fee, at the discretion of MPI-CAC.

 

Registration Approval
All registration categories are subject to MPI-CAC approval and your registration category must be valid at both the time of registration and at the time of the Event. 

 

Cancellations
Registration cancellation requests MUST be submitted in writing to info@mpicac.org. Refunds are subject to approval by MPI-CAC.

 

Substitutions
Substitutions are welcome. Please note that substitutions are only permissible if the substituting individual qualifies for the original registrant's category. For instance, a substitute for a planner registrant must also qualify as a planner for registration purposes. If a non-member substitutes for a member, any difference in registration fee will be due and payable. 

 

Liability Waiver
You agree to release and hold MPI-CAC harmless from any and all claims, demands and causes of action arising out of or relating to your participation in the Event and use of the meeting/conference space and lodging facilities.  By attending the Event, you consent to photographing, videotaping and audiotaping your participation and the subsequent use by MPI-CAC of such photographs or recordings in any and all forms as may be chosen by MPI-CAC. 

 

Privacy/Sharing of Registrant Information
By registering for the Event, you grant MPI-CAC permission to share your contact information (Name, Title, Company, Email) with sponsors/partners and include your Name, Title and Company Name in public Event Registration lists. You may opt out oh having your contact information shared with sponsors/partners during registration.

 

Compliance with Laws, MPI-CAC Policies, and Premise Rules
While attending an Event, you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations (including those concerning drug and alcohol usage), these Terms and Conditions, and all Event premises rules and policies.

If you or your guest(s) violate any such law, regulation, rule, policy, these Terms and Conditions and/or behave in an unsafe or careless manner, as determined by MPI-CAC in its sole and absolute discretion, you may be asked to leave or be removed from the Event premises. You hereby release MPI-CAC and agree to defend, indemnify, and hold MPI-CAC harmless from any injuries, damages, claims, actions, liabilities, fees or costs (including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs) arising out of or resulting from your or your guest(s)’ violation of any applicable, law, rule, regulation or these Terms and Conditions.

 

Alcohol Policy at Events
By registering for the event, you confirm that you are of legal drinking age and understand and agree that alcoholic beverages may be served at this event. You are responsible for your own consumption of alcohol and agree to drink responsibly. You understand that the event organizers, affiliates, and representatives are not liable for any injury, illness, or damages related to my consumption of alcohol. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizers from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from my conduct or alcohol consumption at the event. 

 

Anti-Human Trafficking
MPI is committed to combating human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children. MPI believes that the protection of children from sexual exploitation is a moral imperative and socially responsible business policies must reflect this principle. MPI stands firm in our resolve to create awareness of these crimes by utilizing our professional resources. We ask our business partners, attendees and members to do the same.

 

Amendment of Policies, Terms and Conditions
MPI-CAC reserves the right to amend these policies, terms and conditions from time to time. However, you will be subject to the policies, terms and conditions in force at the time you submit your registration.
